PERSONAL TRAINER – GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR
Montana State University
ACE Certified Personal Trainer
My Mom always said I ran before I walked, which is probably true. I’ve been a runner for as long as I can remember. I started running competitively at the age of 6 in an AAU running club and well, I’m still running now! My passion for fitness started when I was very young, and I didn’t quite understand the concepts, but I knew what I had to do to be a better runner and that was to work hard. Now, I have the knowledge, experience, and the education to help others as well! I train, not only to get the most out of my runs, but I train to get the most out of my life. That’s my mission as a trainer, and I want to show you how to get the most out of your body and your mind. If I can end my day knowing that I am helping someone get more comfortable, confident, and giving them the best guidance they need to accomplish their goals, then I’ve done exactly what I’m meant to do.
I once thought that I wanted to go to Medical School (turns out, I don’t think I do), so my undergrad years were focused on research and internships. I got my first taste of group fitness instructing at the Y in Missoula, Montana where I also worked as a teachers aide. I have always been the “go-to” person for fitness and nutrition advice with my friends and family, so I decided to do what I love, and love what I do!
Outside of fitness stuff, I grew up in Montana (yes, Montana) and I studied cell biology/neuroscience at Montana State University. If I’m not at the gym, you can find me out on some kind of adventure. I love hiking, camping, and really anything that involves a scenic view and some sunshine. I’m really excited to meet all of you and be a part of the community here at the Cambridge Y. If you see me around, don’t be a stranger! Please feel free to ask me questions and talk to me because I’m here for you!
