ACE Certified Personal Trainer

I found a passion for fitness through my mother, who’s been a Personal Trainer and Massage Therapist for as long as I can remember. Seeing the joy she brings to others inspired me to follow a similar path. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Boston with a degree in Exercise Science and soon after became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer.
Before I went to college, I completed two years of service with AmeriCorps NCCC and City Year, two amazing community service organizations. While working with NCCC I was able to travel all around the country working for different organizations such as Habitat for Humanity in Louisiana and a Boys and Girls Club in Texas. My time with City Year was spent increasing the fluency and attendance of middle school students in New York City with the ultimate goal of decreasing the national high school drop out rate. While I was in school, I worked at a Physical Therapy clinic as a physical therapy aide, where I assisted the injury rehabilitation. My degree has allowed me to do and internship at the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, assisting with studies regarding sarcopenia: the loss of muscle tissue associated with aging.
I have worked at a YMCA for almost 10 years. I was a summer camp counselor at the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard, and then moved my way here to Boston where I was a lifeguard at the Charlestown YMCA. I love the Y and its mission; I can see myself being a part of the Y for the rest of my life. I am excited to grow here in Cambridge and work with this awesome staff and this amazing community!

I strive to help people reach their health and fitness goals, no matter the age or fitness level. Two areas of focus for me are weight management and strength training. I currently teach a Beginner Bootcamp and Carved From Stone. Please feel free to stop and say hi when you see me walking around the fitness floor!
